Precedental becomes the second laboratory in the West Midlands to join ALS

Precedental was founded in 1990 by Ross Liversidge and his friend and colleague Peter Smith.  During the past 40 years Ross and Peter have seen many changes in the industry but have kept abreast of the latest technology and the digital revolution. Ross and Peter continue to work in the laboratory manufacturing high quality products with expert workmanship as well as managing the business side.

Post-pandemic Ross and Peter took the opportunity to re-focus their work, to focus on the private side of the business.  This has resulted in business activity returning to pre-pandemic levels with further growth opportunities.

Precedental are constantly researching and trialling new materials and techniques.  Their adaptation of working practices and work flow have been enhanced by the acquisition of industry leading equipment such as induction casting capabilities, laser welding/fusing technology and digital production.
