Aligners FAQs

What are the advantages of RISIO Clear Aligners over traditional braces?

Compared to traditional braces, clear aligners provide several advantages.

Firstly, clear aligners are much more discreet as they blend in with your natural smile and no one need know you’re wearing them.

Secondly, they move teeth into the desired position quickly and safely using advanced digital technology support by experienced orthodontic technicians at our UK based dental laboratory.

RISIO Aligners are also more comfortable than traditional metal braces as the smooth material doesn’t cause painful rubbing against the soft tissues when compared to metal brackets. They are specifically designed to move teeth without causing any discomfort or irritation.

Finally, clear aligner treatment is much more convenient as you can remove them for eating, brushing or flossing – something not possible with traditional braces!

How do RISIO Clear Aligners work?

RISIO Aligners work by gently and gradually shifting the teeth into their desired position.

They are designed to be worn for 20-22 hours a day, with occasional breaks for eating and oral hygiene. Each set of aligners is worn for one or two weeks before being replaced with the next set in the treatment plan.

The aligners exert a small amount of force on the teeth, which causes them to move gradually into the corrected position. As the teeth shift, the aligners are gradually replaced with new sets to continue the treatment process. The entire course of treatment will be monitored by your dentist to ensure that the teeth are moving as planned and to make any necessary adjustments.
