Leca Dental take delivery of the Renishaw AM250 metal powder fusion system

During the month of September Leca Dental took delivery of the Renishaw AM250 metal powder fusion system. This latest investment at Leca will further enhance our digital workflow. The system allows us to build complex dental components from Chrome Cobalt RPDs to complex Implant bridge structures . The system allows us to build with a variety of powder metals, we will initially focus on Chrome Cobalt and Titanium . The Renishaw will now provide us with a highly differentiated system that will ultimately deliver a more repeatable and cost effective product for both internal and external customers . We are currently going through commissioning trials and expect the machine to be fully operational by the start of November 2021.

Renishaw’s AM250 metal additive manufacturing system uses metal powder bed fusion to build complex components direct from 3D computer generated (CAD) designs. The system is capable of building solid components from a variety of metal powder material including titanium, aluminium and nickel alloys.
