Course Overview

Join the ALS Academy at Ashford Orthodontics, Sunderland and discover how Dentuvo Digital Dentures is transforming NHS and private practices by introducing efficiencies and maximising revenue.

The evening will include hands on denture scanner training with Medit, each delegate will have the opportunity to scan a partial denture case using the wash impression technique and a full reference denture.

Educational Aims

This course aims to provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to confidently work with your lab to prescribe Dentuvo Digital Dentures. You will learn the IOS Prosthetic workflow demonstrated using the Medit i900 IOS Scanner and learn how Digital Dentures can help maximise the revenue of your practice and improve your patients experience wearing dentures.

Development Outcome

This CPD Course meets the criteria for the GDC’s development outcome B & C, Effective management of self and effective management of others or effective work with others in the dental team, in the interests of patients; providing constructive leadership where appropriate; Maintenance and development of knowledge and skill within your field of practice.

Learning Outcomes

· Know how to use the IOS workflow confidently to scan partially dentate and edentulous arches using the Medit scanner.

· Understand the benefits of using an IOS vs alginate.

· Understand the Dentuvo Digital Denture product family at bronze, silver and gold standard

· Know which denture cases can currently be treated with dentuvo digital dentures and when you can prescribe Dentuvo to your patients.

· Know the material and mechanical properties and of Dentuvo Digital Dentures and the differences and similarities between digital dentures and analogue traditional dentures.

· Know how to treat repairs, relines, additions and replacement Dentuvo cases.

· Know what patients need to know about Dentuvo and how to explain Dentuvo Digital Dentures to your patients.
