This new 2-day hands-on masterclass aims to provide dental technicians with an increased understanding of how to achieve outstanding aesthetics. This course focuses on recreating natural aesthetics, optimising functionality, and developing your skillset when crafting highly detailed, lifelike restorations.
With a strong focus on scientific information, material preparation, anatomical contouring and advanced stain and glaze/micro layering techniques, this masterclass is designed to equip participants with the advanced knowledge and skills required to implement several new critical techniques to produce truly world class full arch restorations.
This course will provide key information on material selection to help master the art of selecting ideal shades of dentins, enamels, and modifiers to achieve natural translucency and seamless colour matching.
Delegates will work on pre-milled 6-unit ZirCAD Prime zirconia restorations which you will take with you to use as demonstration pieces.
This CPD Course meets the criteria for the GDC’s development outcome C, Maintenance and development of knowledge and skill within your field of practice.
Sylwia Arizpe is a master ceramist with a passion for creating not only functional but natural looking and exceptionally beautiful fixed restorations. Originally from Masuria in Poland, Sylwia graduated from the Eugeniusz Nagadowski college in 1996, qualifying as a Dental Technician. The early part of her career saw her focus on removable prosthetics, however Sylwia turned her attention to ceramics in 2002. From then on, she has worked, taught and lectured on the topic of ceramics in several countries around the world including Germany, USA, UK and Kenya. Today she works and is an integral part of the team at the world famous Beever dental laboratory in Leeds, England, and as part of that team, her daily work involves creating everything from single units, right up to the most complicated of full mouth implant restorations using the latest CAD/CAM technology. Sylwia has a genuine passion for teaching as well as sharing her knowledge with others. Her favourite things to do as a ceramist are layering, stain & glaze and trying to develop new techniques and effects. She describes her approach to teaching as one of trying to simplify the complicated methods & techniques which are often needed in order for you to create world class restorations. In her spare time, Sylwia loves to spend time with her family, she also likes to read, travel and socialise with friends.
