Ceramist at Densign Lab

Location: Densign Lab at Isleworth

Salary: Competitive salary

Working pattern: Monday to Friday 9am-6pm; 40 hours a week

Densign Lab is a full-service dental laboratory based in the UK, that creates products for dental laboratories and dentists across the country.

Role Summary

The role requires the ability to work on own initiative to manage a busy workflow. The person also needs to be able to producing dental work to a high standard following the dentist prescription with care and attention to detail.

Experience required

  • Experience of working in a busy lab, and working on thier own initiative.

  • High quality C&B Technician, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and complete tasks on-time
  • Team player, positive approach to problem solving.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all appliances manufactured meet agreed quality targets and to the specified prescription.
  • Check centric occlusion with opposing model. Make any necessary adjustments.
  • Remove die from model and finish contacts being sure not to overbuild or leave contacts shy.
  • Check margins to be sure porcelain is completely adapted where it meets metal.
  • Perform duties as a ceramist producing porcelain fuse to metal crowns, e.max and full contour zirconia restorations.
  • Communicate with customers regarding cases.
  • Add enamel porcelain in proper sequence to achieve proper aesthetics.

 

  • Fire the porcelain at the correct temperature for the proper length of time.
  • Maintain a clean work area and keep porcelain palette, brushes, and other tools clean to avoid contamination of porcelain with foreign material.
  • After firing the first coat, cool units and match to correct models.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Fabricate, repair, or alter dental devices like crowns, inlays, dentures, bridge.
