Educational Aims

Shaun Rosati delivers our hands on course where he will share with you the basic functions of Exocad software. This Course is aimed at Technicians who have no previous CAD experience, and wish to learn how to get started with designing C&B restorations.

We will cover the basic functions and tools in Exocad software. Demonstrate how to use different areas of the software to design restorations digitally. Working on your own laptop, you will learn new skills on how to use the Exocad software. The expert tuition delivered on this course will ensure you can return to your lab or surgery and be able to practice simple C&B designs in Exocad.

Development Outcome

This CPD Course meets the criteria for the GDC’s development outcome C,  Maintenance and development of knowledge and skill within your field of practice.

Learning Outcomes

  • Navigate the Exocad workflow confidently.
  • Set up crown, veneer, and bridge cases correctly.
  • Analyze preparations and define accurate margins.
  • Create and use digital mock-ups for planning and communication.
  • Build working models and configure die parameters.
  • Design single-unit crowns and veneers with proper anatomy and contacts.
  • Design bridges with appropriate pontic and connector structures.
  • Perform quality-control checks and prepare files for milling or 3D printing.
  • Complete a restorative case from scan import to final production-ready export.
