What is our Scanner Membership Programme?

The ALS Scanner Membership Programme offers a wide range of intra-oral scanners from all manufacturers as well as digital workflows and services in line with the dentist and patient needs. Our unique membership scheme provides intraoral scanners to dentists together with an unparalleled level of ongoing support to help our customers on their digital journey.

We believe that every dentist should be using an intraoral scanner but they should not buy one as the ALS subscription model is far more beneficial and economical.

Why should you join?

Increasingly intra-oral scanners are being launched by new companies as well as existing manufacturers who are launching new models. New hardware brings new benefits, however more choice brings more confusion when it comes to understanding which is the best scanner. We believe that there is no best scanner but there is a ‘best scanner for your needs’. We will help you make the right choice.

Our aim is to provide you with the correct scanner for your needs. As a customer of any laboratory in the ALS group, you would be entitled to rebates on the scanner monthly membership rates, hopefully bringing the cost down to zero, depending on the volume of lab work received. At the end of your membership period, you could continue with the same scanner, cancel your agreement or upgrade to a different make. You have total flexibility, the likes of which would be unavailable if you purchased a scanner from a manufacturer or dealer

How does it work?

The process of deciding which scanner is right for you is called ‘The22’. It is a unique survey which will uncover your wants; needs; aspirations; fears; requirements; Practice workflows; return on investment; and the mind-set of your Practice colleagues.

So before a Principal chooses an IO scanner, they should know how the technology will be adopted by their team and whether there are any barriers to change. ‘The22’ will deliver valuable feedback so that your scanner will not be sitting in a cupboard, unused by your colleagues. A scanner is a serious investment.  This process helps you understand whether you will be purchasing wisely.

The report that is generated will recommend the right scanner for your team. Sometimes it can be a short-list of just two scanners. The subsequent stage is a demonstration at the Practice.  Scanning is not difficult, but it is different and so before deciding you must try them for yourself.

What if you already have an IO Scanner?

For those that have already purchased their scanner, we will still offer the same level of support and rebate scheme. So the existing IOS user can still benefit from our scheme.

Who will you work with?

Our Digital Business Director, David Claridge, manages this programme and has over 25 years of dental laboratory experience as a registered Dental Technician and laboratory owner. He also has another 15 years of experience working with intra oral scanners (IOS) across an international territory of 26 countries. David is a respected knowledge base on all intra oral scanners and is a national award winner, for the use of intra oral scanners in the sports industry.

Over 1,500 dentists and dozens of Businesses have benefitted from David’s training programmes. David is supported by our experienced CAD technicians, as well as all our lab leaders from the ALS group.
